October 9thYou can write full name of month, and date with ordinal word (th).

9th of OctoberIn this case, you write the ordinal number first and then put month name.
09 /10This format is followed in the united kingdom to write date before month.
10 / 09This rule is followed in the USA to write month first after putting date.

Before the exam, you should learn to describe the currency of various countries, especially American, British, Canadian, and South Africa for the recording sections. For example:

You are required to write a range of measurement such as kilometer, centimeter and kilogram in the form completion test. You need to right it with UK OR US spelling.  Remember, US or UK both are acceptable in the test. But, you are more welcomed to describe it in abbreviations.

Tips are crucial and play a vital role in your success in the form completion test.

  1. Read the instructions carefully. Don’t write more than one word or letter in the test.
  2. Find the title
  3. Circle / highlight the words in the form before the start of listening.
  4. Don’t write very speedily; you are to give time to read form.
  5. Predict the answer yourself
  6. Take notes of any section in form. This will help a lot to understand the conversation in the audio properly.
  7. Improve your vocabulary to handle synonyms.
  8. Be aware of distractors because these are mostly used in the listening module.
  9. Recognize synonyms and paraphrasing speedily.
  10. Try to give answer in same the question order.
  11. Don’t leave any question without answer in the form completion.

Errors are not acceptable in the form completion test. You need to be accurate in listening audio or putting answers in the form. There is no restriction to give answer small or capital letters. You can give answer in all capital letters, but answer must be clear or correct. But don’t forget to read the instructions before start the test.

Yes, you can also take IELTS listening test on computer. But, on computer based test, you are given 30minutes; 30 minutes for answering questions and 02 more minutes to review answers.
